service calorie-free 2010 R1200RT

hello,

Can anyone tell me how to extinguish the "service" light on my 2010 R1200RT (besides taking it to the dealer)? The manual refers to a yearly checkup, but it was merely in for service earlier the light came on.

Welcome to the forum Ed! I'm going to crash-land you up one notch to Hexhead/Camhead for better positioning of your question. As far every bit I know, the simply mode is with something like the GS911. They have been around a while and at that place is a great thread in the gear section about the "new beingness tested" bluetooth version.
If y'all would like to have an idea on how they (GS911) piece of work, there is a nice walk-through in our tech section.

Welcome to the site Ed.
If your bike was just in for service they should accept reset the service light subsequently the service.
Call your dealer and tell them it appears they forgot to reset the light and ask if they'll reset it for you the side by side time y'all're at the store.

I do my own routine maintenance and don't want to buy a GS911.

I've noticed that when I'chiliad looking at the road alee of me that I don't even see the message.

At present: '12 R1200RT Midnight Bluish Metal / '11 Ural Patrol 2WD ridden to Alaska / '09 KLR 650 / '05 HD Heritage Softail / '08 Harley Sportster 1200C / '85 Yamaha VMax bought new. I wasn't ready to say cheerio: world wide web.shaunlunt.typepad.com

If the text is the aforementioned size as on the K1300S, it's easy to ignore because it's really tiny.

I tin can remember a couple years ago someone kept saying you had to clear the Service warning or you lot would get the yellow triangle afterward awhile. Turns out that wasn't truthful.
